Abstract
Enzymes are higly specific catalysts that have a large number of applications in diagnosis However their potential therapeutic usefulness is limited by liability toxicity poor cellular uptake and allergenicity In view of these drawbacks immobilized forms of enzymes are prepared using biological or synthetic materials to improve their efficiency This paper reviews the immobilization studies carried out on enzymes with therapeutic potential
