Abstract
Injuries to the bile duct are a serious problem and are potentially life threatening They can cause major morbidity prolong hospitalization increase cost and lead to litigation Compared with open cholecystectomy the incidence of injuries to the bile duct seems to be increased in laparoscopic cholecystectomy LC However ductal injuries are highest during the learning curve
