Abstract
Traditionally coupled theory for soils was mainly focused on micromechanisms However modern theories of molecular and quantum mechanics combined with formidable computation power extends the coupled theory to the nano level This chapter discusses some topics of Nano mechanics for geomaterials 71 Also the coupled behavior of micromechanisms is different in saturated soils from the coupled behavior of other continua such as composite materials or metals This chapter also discusses topics of coupled behavior of micromechanisms 72
