Abstract

Climate Change Strategies 2009 was held in Zacatecas Mexico between September 28 and 29 2009 This event was sponsored by the Government of Zacatecas and Universidad Autonoma de Zacatecas UAZ The ceremony was opened by the Governor of Zacatecas Amalia Garcia Medina and by Juan Rafael Elvira Quesada National Secretary of Environment and Natural Resources SEMARNAT Governor Garcia Medina did emphasize about the importance and effects of our acts and the responsibility of humankind to reduce global warming She called Climate Change as one of the greatest challenges of our times she urged the need of common agreements and that international consensus solutions are vital to cope and mitigate the devastating effects that are taking place nowadays The event was attended by about 3000 participants from several states of Mexico including mostly students at all levels professionals industrials researchers and general public
