Abstract
Physical and mathematical simulation of the internal aerodynamics of an isothermal model of a swirlingtype furnace geometrically similar to a section of the experimentalproduction TPE427 steam generator of the Novosibirsk Steam Power Plant 3 has been performed Data on the velocity fields in this furnace have been obtained with the use of a Doppler laser measuring system and a threedimensional turbulent flow in it was numerically simulated using the Fluent CFD package The calculation and experimental results obtained were compared Recommendations on the improvement of the design characteristics of the indicated furnace are proposed
