Abstract

Approaches to the prediction of the properties of small particles with diameter down to 12 nm are proposed using the Thomson–Kelvin Clapeyron–Clausius and Laplace laws as well as the Poynting effect Particles with minimal dimensions but with a wellformed surface characterized by surface tension were found to be optimal relative to chemical potential
