Abstract
Results of investigations of the stresstrain state and strength of compensating sections built with use of a lowmodulus spacer of steel/reinforcedconcrete pressure conduits based on finiteelement models are presented Tensile hoop stresses requiring design and not structural reinforcement develop in the reinforcedconcrete section of the conduits which is separated from the inner steel lining by a lowmodulus spacer A procedure is proposed for calculation of the reinforcement and diagrams are developed for reinforcement of the compensating sections of pressure conduits
