Abstract
The results of an investigation of the effect of B2O3 as a sintering additive at the initial stages of the formation of optical ceramic from aluminummagnesium spinel AMS are presented It shown that uniform nanosize coatings containing the sintering additive B2O3 can be obtained on the surface of AMS particles by the liquid method which significantly accelerates the subsequent sintering of AMS particles
