Abstract
Recently the platoonbased vehicular cyberphysical system VCPS has attracted significant attention The members of platoon may change quite dynamically and vehicles may join or leave the platoon at any time Therefore how to securely set up a group and guarantee anonymity of platoon members when performing authentication with road side units RSUs along the highway is a challenge To address this issue in this paper we propose a secure group setup and anonymous authentication scheme in the platoonbased VCPS by using a special group signature technique named SGSA The proposed SGSA can securely set up a temporary platoon and flexibly support platoon merging/platoon splitting Particularly once a dispute occurs on an access request during the authentication any platoon member can trace the corresponding vehicle of the disputed access request message Finally we also carry out extensive analysis to show the security and efficiency of our proposed SGSAOur research is financially supported by the National Natural Science Foundation of China Research Grant 61272037 61472472 the International Science and Technology Cooperation and Exchange Plan in Shaanxi Province of China 2015KW010 and the Natural Science Basic Research Plan in Shaanxi Province of China 2015JQ6236
