Abstract

This paper describes the design and realization of a Wband radiometric sensor and its imaging performance obtained during indoor and outdoor experimental trials The system has been used both in indoor and in outdoor scenarios in nearradiative and farfield conditions respectivelyThe authors wish to thank Professor Alfonso Farina for reading the manuscript and his helping suggestions and DrYonghui Shu CEO of Sage Millimeter Inc for the willingness demonstrated during several technical discussions about the design tuning and manufacturing of the antenna and the customized hiend millimeterwave devices And also they wish to thank Texas Instruments for providing numerous samples of their highperformance opamps in a very short time allowing a rapid circuit prototyping and Keysight Technologies for providing the MMW hiend measurement equipment and the support during the characterization
