Abstract

Aortic disease is not as prevalent in India as in the West Apart from the usual presentations of aortic disease viz aneurysms occlusions and dissections a vast spectrum of disease is prevalent This includes Takayasu Arteritis with it sequale Tuberculous and nonspecific arteritis Primary Aortic Mural Thrombosis and aortic tropical infections The open and endovascular management of these entities is well developed in India We present the aortic experience of 2 of the largest centres in India
