Abstract
We consider a model utilizing the concept of impedance matching which can be applied to design the coupled cascaded plasmonic cavity waveguide with desired properties We use a transfer matrix method to obtain its transmission and dispersion diagrams Base on this method we demonstrate that a bandpass metal–dielectric–metal plasmonic filter with quasiflat group velocity and tunable bandwidth can be achievedY Xu acknowledges the partial support from the China Scholarship Council and the Nonlinear Research Centre at ANU The work of AE Miroshnichenko was supported by the Australian Research Council LJ Wu and S Lan acknowledge the financial support from the National Natural Science Foundation of China grant nos10774050 and 10974060 and the Program for Innovative Research Team of the Higher Education in Guangdong grant no 06CXTD005
