Abstract
Amyloidosis is a rare disease of multifactorial pathogenesis Localized amyloidosis of the palate is extremely rare and only four cases have been reported We present the fifth case in which amyloidosis occurred as a nodule in the hard palate of a 74yearold woman The nodule was diagnosed as amyloid lightchain amyloidosis Further investigations did not show systemic involvement The patient was kept under observation and during 17 months of followup had no progression of the lesion and systemic amyloidosis did not develop
