Abstract
A theory is revisited of Langmuir wave dissipation in a turbulent plasma via the nonresonant plasma electron diffusion in momentums Erofeev in Phys Plasmas 91137 2002 It is clarified that this dissipation depends on the wave interaction and does not depend on the induced wave scatters and on the quasilinear evolution of Langmuir wave spectrum The respective intensity of wave energy thermalization is calculated The correspondence is discussed of new understanding of the phenomenon with its former version and with the Landau’s theory of collisionless wave dissipation Landau in J Phys USSR 1025 1946
