Abstract
Pt catalyst supported on a novel engineered CNT support which preserves the advantageous morphology and porosity of asmade CNTs agglomerates exhibits lower C–Cl hydrogenolysis activity in hydrogenation of pchloronitrobenzene than commercial Pt catalyst supported on activated carbon This is attributed to the open ended pore structure and meso/macro porosity of the CNT supportThe SEM images and XPS spectra were taken at the Center for Nanoscale Systems CNS of Harvard University a member of the National Nanotechnology Infrastructure Network NNIN which is supported by the National Science Foundation under NSF award no ECS0335765
