Abstract
Syntheses of 3phenylbenzobthiophene 2 3d12 benzodiazocine derivatives have been accomplished by the reaction of 3phenacylidine2benzobthiophene2ones with ophenylene diamine The photolytic reaction with transstilbene resulted in the exclusive formation of spiro2′5′6′triphenyl2Hpyran4′3benzobthiophene2one derivatives Theoretical calculations have been performed to study the mechanism and stereoselectivity of products Good yield and broad scope of usable substrates of industrial relevance are other prominent features of the present methodologiesSyntheses of 3phenylbenzobthiophene 2 3d12 benzodiazocine derivatives by the reaction of 3phenacylidine2benzobthiophene2ones with ophenylene diamine have been accomplished A 4+2 photocycloaddition has been carried out to obtain spiro205060triphenyl2Hpyran403benzob thiophene2one derivatives from 3phenacylidine2benzobthiophene2ones and transstilbene
