Abstract

βimidophosphonamido ligated lutetium alkyl complex NPNDippLuCH2SiMe32THF NPNDipp = Ph2PNC6H3 i Pr2262 with the activation of Al i Bu3 and Ph3CBC6F54 exhibited high catalytic activity medium syndiorr = 66 but remarkably high 34regioselectivity for the polymerization of βmyrcene MY In sharp contrast high isotactic 34polymyrcene PMY mm = 95 was obtained by the precursor NPNEtLuCH2SiMe32THF NPNEt = PPh2NC6H3 i Pr226NC6H4Et2 with less bulky substituents on the Naryl ring
