Abstract
Solvothermal reaction water/methanol of cobalt perchlorate hexahydrate sodium thiocyanate and 2pyridine3yloxypyrazine PP resulted in the formation of a twodimensional coordination polymer CoμPP2SCN2 n The solid complex has been characterized by elemental analysis and IR spectroscopy its crystal structure was determined by Xray crystallography The complex crystallizes in the monoclinic system space group P21/n a = 7464319 Å b = 92372 Å c = 155404 Å β = 949955° V = 106745 Å3 Z = 1 In the crystal structure each 2pyridine3yloxypyrazine molecule acts as a bidentate bridging ligand coordinating to two adjacent CoII ions with CoCo separation of 9517618 Å to yield a twodimensional sheet structure in the plane −1 0 1
