Abstract
Low back pain and sciatica are common conditions usually due to the involvement of paravertebral muscles spine disks or nerves roots The natural history of sciatica is favorable with resolution of leg pain within 8 weeks from onset in the majority of patients both for surgery and conservative treatment 1 but treatment failure or worsening of symptoms requires further evaluations Here we describe a case of sciatica resistant to treatment and discuss about diagnostic pitfalls in the case of resistant low back pain
