Abstract

Their ecology is very different The former is found in urban and in rural environments in the field as well as in the proximity of farms and in all geological formations The latter occurs primarily on the border of the northsouth flowing river an important economic route Being zoophilic it is also to be found in places frequented by animals This seems to indicate that these two species are autochthonous in this areaM ajelloi M cookei M canis andChrysosporium keratinophilum are less frequent They are limited to urban environments and seem not yet to have completely acclimatized
