Abstract
Parapubic hernia is a rare entity the aetiology of which is usually associated with pelvic surgery traumatisms and bone malformations Treatment is difficult because the defect is usually limited by altered fibrotic anatomical planes We present a case of incisional pubic hernia in a patient with congenital bladder exstrophy and multiple surgeries for pelvic reconstruction who was treated using a plasty combined with a double intraabdominal/supraaponeurotic mesh The therapeutic possibilities are described for the laparoscopic and open approaches in the management of these complex hernias
