Abstract

Regenerative medicine is a relatively new field that promises to improve health and quality of life by replacing or restore lost damaged or aging cells in the human body to restore function This must be realized by collaborative efforts in cell and developmental biology stem cell research nanotechnology genetics and molecular biology biomaterials sciences bioengineering surgery and tissue engineering It is becoming largely clear that current advances in the field of regeneration biology and developmental biology have the great potential to transform regenerative medicine In Principles of Regenerative MedicineAnthony Atala Robert Lanza James Thompson and Robert Nerem have produced in a single volume a comprehensive reviews of the biology and molecular basis of regeneration cell and tissue development and therapy biomaterials sciences development and regeneration of different types of tissues current and future strategies in regenerative medicine and its clinical
