Abstract
Porsche has developed a driver assistance system that facilitates the implementation of intelligent driving strategies InnoDrive has precise knowledge of the technical properties of the vehicle and integrates all available information on the route about to be followed The system can reduce fuel consumption by an average of 10 while maintaining at least the same average driving speedA vehicle’s fuel consumption and economy are becoming increasingly important buying criteria New car buyers are not only looking for rational benefits in order to reduce their cost of ownership but also assign a very high priority to emotional aspects such as social acceptance Manufacturers of premium cars in particular are taking a leading role in the development of fuelreducing technologies
