Abstract
Trotz kurzfristig guter klinischer Ergebnisse und hoher Patientenzufriedenheit konnte bislang im Langzeitergebnis kein eindeutig protektiver Effekt des VKBErsatzes bezüglich einer progredienten posttraumatischen Arthroseentwicklung festgestellt werden Zusatzverletzungen an Knorpel und Meniskus verschlechtern die Prognose noch weiterDespite promising shortterm clinical results and excellent subjective outcome scores longterm success of ACL reconstruction with respect to the prevention of knee osteoarthrosis could not be documented Associated cartilage or meniscal injuries further aggravate the risk for posttraumatic osteoarthrosis
