Abstract

A new sandwich polyoxometalate Na4Zn2Zn2H2O10ZnCl6Bα BiW9O332 · 405H2O 1 has been obtained in aqueous solution and characterized by IR UV element analysis TG and singlecrystal Xray analysis Polyoxoanion 1 is composed of a Zn 6 12+ hexagon sandwiched by two BiW9O339− units which is firstly observed in tungstobismutate The crystal data for compound 1 Triclinic space group P–1 a = 154263 Å b = 154673 Å c = 155263 Å α = 74243° β = 64373° γ = 60733° V = 290531 Å3 Z = 1This work was financially supported by the National Natural Science Foundation of China 20371011 Science and Technology Development Project Foundation of Jilin Province No 20060420 Testing Foundation of Northeast Normal University no 201586000/201372000 PhD station Foundation of Ministry of Education No 20060200002
