Abstract

Pd/Ccatalyzed transfer hydrogenation with Hantzsch ester14dihydropyridine was found to be very effective for the selective reduction of Nalkoxyarylmethyl benzamide compounds to the corresponding benzamides The reaction conditions solvent effects and reaction mechanism were discussed in the present work
