Abstract
Agpromoted CoZSM5 catalyst was prepared and tested for the selective catalytic reduction of NO with methane The lowtemperature activity and waterresistant ability of the promoted catalyst were markedly improved in comparison to CoZSM5 The NO conversion was about 100 in the temperature range of 350–550 °C at a space velocity of 6000 h−1 and nearly 60 in the presence of 2 water steam The results showed that with Ag presence the redox nature of cobalt species changed The improvement of lowtemperature activity and waterresistance of catalyst is attributed to the suppression of methane combustion and the formation of surface nitrate speciesThe lowtemperature activity and waterresistant ability of the Agpromoted catalyst were markedly improved in comparison to CoZSM5 The improvement of activities is attributed to the suppression of methane combustion and the formation of surface nitrate speciesThe present work was supported by the National Natural Science Foundation of China No 20573014 and 20673016 and by the Program for New Century Excellent Talents in University NCET070136 as well as by the National High Technology and Development Program 863 program of China Grant No 2007AA06Z311
