Abstract
Local repair of vesicovaginal fistulæ can be undertaken with success in slightly more than half the cases seen The mortality rate is very low—approximately 1 per cent Successful local repairs were achieved in 82 per cent of cases attempted Only about 60 per cent of the cases seen were considered suitable for local repair operations
