Abstract
A patient is described who developed the signs and symptoms of peripheral neuropathy and in whom two months later pyramidal and gross cerebellar disturbances supervened At autopsy the neuropathological changes are consistent with infection by a virus The distribution of the lesions is typical of louping ill encephalomyelitis The relationship between the clinical and pathological findings are discussed
