Abstract
Two phenylketonuric children are presented who were on a phenylalanine restricted diet from early infancy until the ages of 4 years and 2 months and 2 years and 10 months respectively Dietary treatment has been discontinued for almost 3 years and no deterioration had been noted in their satisfactory mental developmentPsychological assessments were done by Dr M P Mulvaney Dr M Walsh Dr J McKenna and Miss B Dunne Chromatography was carried out in Professor E J Conway’s Department University College Dublin EEG Records were interpreted by Dr J GKirker and Mr F Donovan
