Abstract
Craniopharyngiomas are common pediatric intracranial tumors and total excision is curative The location in posterior fossa extending in the cerebellopontine CP angle and up to the foramen magnum makes total excision difficult A staged approach Kawase’s anterior transpetrous transtentorial and a posterior transpetrous transtentorial approach has been described in the past 2 3 5 We were able to achieve complete excision of a cysticsolid giant retroclival craniopharyngioma in a single stage through a transsylvian transtentorial approach
