Abstract

A 65yearold man developed aggravation of fatigue secondary to depression following betamethasone treatment The man was diagnosed with advanced gastric cancer and was subsequently referred due to disease progression A few weeks prior to the referral he experienced fatigue and anorexia with depression including loss of interest feelings of hopelessness suicidal ideation and sleep disturbance He had started receiving oral betamethasone 2mg in the morning for anorexia and fatigue under a diagnosis of cachexia He was diagnosed with major depression and received treatment with paroxetine Despite these
