Abstract

We describe the arthroscopic management of the posterior capsule tear using posterior transseptal portal This technique is usually used in acute cases where a torn capsule is found but we can also use this technique for reefing of stretched capsule by refreshing the injured capsule When arthroscopic ligament reconstruction accompanies posteromedial or posterolateral capsular insufficiency using the posterior transseptal portal could ensure better visualization of the capsule and a subsequent more accurate management of the capsule Since it is helpful in lessening the instability it could contribute to achieving successful clinical results although this is not a mighty procedure
