Successful surgical management for multiple cerebral mycotic aneurysmsinvolving both carotid and vertebrobasilar systems in active infectiveendocarditis European Journal of CardioThoracic Surgery Volume 8 Issue 9 September 1994 Pages 508–510 https//doiorg/101016/1010794094900248Mycotic aneurysm is usually found in the middle cerebral arteryassociated with infective endocarditis Previous reports we have identifiedinclude only 4 cases of vertebrobasilar aneurysm We report on a29yearold female who had multiple mycotic aneurysms involving both thecarotid and vertebrobasilar systems complicated by intracranial hemorrhagewith infective endocarditis in whom staged operations mitral valvereplacement and craniotomies were successfully performed
