Abstract
We study the mathcalN = 4 gauged supergravity theory which arises from the consistent truncation of IIB supergravity on the coset T 11 We analyze three mathcalN = 2 subsectors and in particular we clarify the relationship between true superpotentials for gauged supergravity and certain fake superpotentials which have been widely used in the literature We derive a superpotential for the general reduction of type I supergravity on T 11 and this together with a certain solution generating symmetry is tantamount to a superpotential for the baryonic branch of the KlebanovStrassler solutionThis article is published under an open access license Please check the Copyright Information section for details of this license and what reuse is permitted If your intended use exceeds what is permitted by the license or if you are unable to locate the licence and reuse information please contact the Rights and Permissions team
