Abstract
The authors retrospectively reviewed medical and temporal bone imaging records of 18 patients with CHARGE syndrome Abnormalities of the outer middle and inner ear are known to be common in patients with CHARGE syndrome therefore evaluation for hearing loss is common There is paucity of literature regarding the incidence of clinically significant venous anomalies involving the temporal bone in these children Ten of 18 56 had venous anomalies involving the temporal bone Five patients had large emissary veins two of these also had ipsilateral hypoplastic sigmoid sinus or jugular foramen Other abnormalities included aberrant petrosal sinus venous lakes in close proximity to the venous sinus condylar canal veins highriding jugular bulb obscuring the round window niche and dehiscent jugular bulb Six children were imaged
