Abstract
The theoretical approaches on the electrochemistry of silicatebased porous materials are reviewed with particular attention to the intrazeolite vs extrazeolite debate in the context of zeolite electrochemistry It is discussed the electrochemistry of different topological redox isomers for electroactive species encapsulated into nanocages via shipinabottle synthesis and that of structural species It is emphasized the interest in describing diffusional problems in the light of existing modeling for ioninsertion solids directly dealing with the voltammetry of immobilized particles methodology Theoretical approaches to describe the role of redox mediators and electrocatalysis are also presented
