Abstract

Phytoplankton of a humic and acidic lake in north eastern Quebec was studied during three years Composition and succession are described The biomass is very low and no distinct seasonal maximum was observed the periodicity of various algal groups occurring in such a way that maximal populations succeed one another and do not coexist
