Abstract

The formation of starch in excised 3daysold pea roots was enhanced up to three fold after cultivation for five days in liquid media containing 3 glucose microelements and 106 M kinetin or 107 M naphtaleneacetic acid NAA A synergistic effect of kinetin and NAA on starch formation was observed when both hormones were applied simultaneously over a wide range of concentrations
