Conformal conservation laws for secondorder scala

Abstract

We consider an action integral over spacetime whose Lagrangian depends upon a scalar field and upon derivatives of the field function up to second order From invariance identities obtained by the authors in an earlier work it is shown how a new proof of Noethers theorem for this secondorder problem follows in the multiple integral case Finally conservation laws are written down in the case that the given action integral be invariant under the fifteenparameter special conformal groupSi considera un integrale dellazione sullo spaziotempo il cui lagrangiano dipende da un campo scalare e dalle derivate della funzione di campo fino al secondordine Dalle identità dinvarianza ottenute dagli autori in un precedente lavoro si mostra come una nuova prova del teorema di Noether per questo problema di secondordine segua nel caso dellintegrale multiplo Infine si scrivono le leggi di conservazione nel caso che lintegrale dellazione dato sia invariante rispetto al gruppo conformale speciale di quindici parametri
