Abstract
The process of refractive index grating formation in a photorefractive crystal used as the selfadapting spectral filter in an external cavity of a semiconductor laser is studied using a selfconsistent model The model is based on the Finite Difference solution of the Kukhtarev equations The results obtained are compared with the ones provided by approximate analytical models
