Abstract
αAminoisobutanoic acid and some representatives of cyclic αamino acids were converted to corresponding 1phthalimido and Ntrifluoroacylated acid chlorides Treatment of 21Hbenzimidazol2ylacetonitrile with 1phthalimidoacid chlorides in DMF unexpectedly gave 21Hbenzimidazol2yl3dimethylamino2propenenitrile On the other hand the reaction of hetarylacetonitriles with Ntrifluoroacylated acid chlorides gave the desired 3cyano2oxo3hetarylpropyl222trifluoroacetamides that upon detrifluoroacetylation provided the target 2amino3hetarylpyrrolin4ones The acylation of benzoimidazolylaminopyrrolinones by benzoyl chloride leads to formation of 3benzoyl23dihydro5phenyl1Hbenzo45imidazo12cpyrrolo32epyrimidin1ones
