Abstract
Trismus is a common sequela of maxillofacial injuries Foreign bodies are commonly associated with many injuries however they are very rare in the infratemporal fossa In this case there was fracture of the maxilla and an associated infratemporal foreign body which was rediolucent and undetected for a period of ten weeks Removal of this foreign body resulted in immediate and complete resolution of the patients symptom of trismus
