Energy determination from the angular distribution

Abstract

Nuclear interactions induced by 45 GeV πmesons 6 GeV protons and 17 GeV πmesons in emulsions have been analysed to test at these energies the methods of energy determination used with highenergy cosmicray interactions Variation of the estimated energy withn s the number of shower particles andN h the number of evaporation prongs has been investigatedSi sono analizzate le interazioni nucleari indotte da mesoni π di 45 GeV protoni di 6 GeV e mesoni π di 17 GeV in emulsione per verificare a queste energie i metodi per la determinazione dell’energia usati per le interazioni dei raggi cosmici di alta energia Si è studiata la variazione dell’energia stimata conn s numero delle particelle dello sciame edN h numero dei rami di evaporazione
