Abstract

The location of the Hoboken nonferrous smelting and refining works of Metallurgie HobokenOverpelt Antwerp Belgium is immediately upwind of a residential area This location has always been the motivation for attempts to control pollution Dust in suspension and fallout have been the two main environmental improvement targets This paper reports how the company identified specific problems located emission sources and incorporated the findings in the acquisition of equipment to prevent atmospheric contamination
