Abstract
Ti10Ta10Nb alloys were designed for surgical implants dental and orthopedic materials without V and Al Specimens of the Ti10Ta10Nb alloy were remelted three times through the consumable VAR process and were made into small rods Homogenization heat treatment was carried out for 24 hours under a vacuum of 10−3 torr and at constant temperature of 1050°C and then the specimens were cooled in water After that we observed the microstructure of the alloy by using an SEM Rockwell B hardness thermal expansion coefficient and specific heat of the Ti10Ta10Nb alloy were measured in order to examine the material properties It was found that the mechanical property of the specimen was altered by the heat treatment and thermal expansion coefficient and specific heat of the Ti10Ta10Nb alloy would be useful data for engineering processing design
