Abstract
A new shaftbearing replacer used for bearing inner race based on the inductionheating technique by finite element method FEM was designed in this paper The regularities of the distribution of the electromagnetic and thermalstructural coupled field in the replacer temperature changes with time course and expansion size in shaft and the bearing inner ring were simulated during the course of induction heating The FEM simulation results not only proved the existence of the eddy skin effect but also achieved the design parameters of the replacer Experiments verified that the replacer can realize a fast disassembling of the bearing inner race which assembled on an axle with interference fitsLi Guofa received a PhD degree from the Jilin University China in 2002 At present he is an associate professor in the College of Mechanical Science and Engineering Jilin University China His research is focused on induction heating and intelligent grindingRen Xiaoli received her BSc degree in the Shandong University China in 2008 and she is currently a graduate student in the College of Mechanical Science and Engineering Jilin University China Her research interest is induction heating and FEM simulation
