Abstract
The building blocks of the title compound UO2 2+·Cl−·C6H4NO3− · C6H5NO3n–uranyl fragment chloride ion one deprotonated isonicotinate Noxide and one isonicotinic acid Noxide are arranged in the complicated three dimensional network by means of both coordination and hydrogen bonds The uranium ion is sevencoordinated in the fashion intermediate between the pentagonal bipyramid and capped octahedron The coordination onedimensional polymer chains are connected by strong carboxyl—carboxyl hydrogen bonds into two dimensional grids These grids interpenetrate each other like the chainlinks
