Abstract
Xray analysis has shown that the complexes of silverI with the anionic forms of 2pyrazinecarboxylic and 23pyrazinedicarboxylic acids are threedimensional network polymers AgC5H3O2N2 1 crystallizes in space groupPna21 witha=70282b=115103c=69492 Å andZ=4 Silver tetrahedral coordination occurs through three ligands the first one acts as a bidentate chelator Ag−O=25394 Ag−N=23344Å the second one involves one N pyrazine atom Ag−N=21964Å and the third one bonds through one Ocarboxylato atom Ag−O=23234Å The dinuclear complex Ag2C6H2O4N2NH3 2 crystallizes in space groupP21/c witha=77752b=164552c=71741 Å β115211° andZ =4 Each of the two silver atoms shows a trigonal environment The first silver atom involves two O carboxylic atoms Ag−O=23124 23744Å and one N pyrazine atom Ag−N=22773Å belonging to three different ligands The second one involves one O carboxylic atom Ag−O=23643Å and one N pyrazine atom Ag−N=23044Å from the same chelating ligand and one N ammine atom Ag−N=21585Å
