Abstract
Pterostilbene and resveratrol carbamate derivatives were designed and synthesized by use of a multitarget directed drugdesign strategy Their acetylcholinesterase and butylcholinesterase inhibitory activity and neuroprotective effects against hydrogen peroxideinduced PC12 cell injury were evaluated in vitro The results indicated that some of the compounds had dual inhibitory potency against acetylcholinesterase and butylcholinesterase and potential neuroprotective effects and could be considered as potential multitargetdirected agentsThis work was financially supported by the Chinese National Natural Science Foundation 20672077 20872099 the Research Fund for the Doctoral Program of Higher Education 20110181110079 and the National Science and Technology Major Project on “Key New Drug Creation and Manufacturing Program” 2013ZX09301304002
